We seem to be having an issue with users bunny hopping to increase their speed, ruining some escape maps.

For reference I have this in my config:
Code:
zr_jumpboost_bhop_protect "1"
zr_jumpboost_bhop_max "300"
One of our regulars on the server recorded a person abusing this trick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUfB7HFTX4E

Currently runnning r614, but I noticed r633 has a new method of changing class speed. Would that fix this issue or is there something else causing this?

More details:
Code:
Zombie movespeed, 350
Zombie jump_distance, 1.3
Human movespeed, 300
Human jump_distance, 1.0

The jump boost have settings for preventing bunny hop caused by the jump boost itself, but not the exploit in the engine.

There are plugins for preventing this, but I don't know if they are good.

Is there anything you might suggest to prevent this from happening?

Lower zr_jumpboost_bhop_max "300" ?

That might not fully work. All it does is not apply a forward jump boost if their velocity is above this number. The only other way is to lower the jump boost. Or find a plugin somewhere around, I don't know any specifically.

The new CS:S beta has this in the changelog:
Code:
Added cvar sv_enablebunnyhopping, defaulted to 0. ( A value of 1 autotags the server with "bunnyhop" )
I don't feel like installing the beta to test it, but hopefully it fixes the issue I'm having.

That looks like it should fix it.

Kind of unrelated, but I HATE the *Tags* feature. Even though they've been on TF2 for years, it just feels pointless for CS:S to have as well. However, with that being said, I'd rather keep them on than risk being de-listed. Even though Valve doesn't seem to care that much about the master servers integrity.

increased_maxplayers for servers over 32slots? Please...
And yes, I have found a bigger problem

Are tags a negative thing? What is the impact when you are tagged with "increased_maxplayers"

I just noticed that mine is, since its a 64 slot server.

increased_maxplayers can be a good thing. People might want to join a big server. And it doesn't change anything seeing as the maxplayers is shown in the server list anyway
