Well, it works fine for several others. So I wouldn't just 'blame the code' when it could be something else. And if there IS something wrong with the code, it would be helpful if posted some specifics so it can be corrected. A simple 'don't work' post is useless.

As posted earlier, the usual cause to that error is because your MOTD file is too big. Try reducing it to a bare minimum.

When I start the server with this, I only have to change the map and it works fine for 2 months now ;)

getting the plugin disabled by cvar error although i did a complete restart of the server.
EDIT: lol, i did a mapchange more and now it works.

Not really strange because the .cfg files are read AFTER the plugin initializations. And the plugin sets the default redirect_enable value to 0. So only after a map change, is the .cfg CVAR value valid.

If you want the plugin to be enabled right from the start, either change the CVAR default values in the code or simply put a 'map' command in a cfg file.

Used it to redirect to my new server, and it managed to hold many regulars.

Just a small suggestion change the default cvar for redirect_enable to 1. If someone installs this plugin it is USED to do the redirect, not to wait for it to be enabled.

Your probably right on that. My original thought was that a server op could install the plugin but not have to enable it until necessary. But with several people getting confused, it might be better enabled by default.
