I have a new plugin idea. Its should work like a lasermine. You bind any button, then when you are near wall, you hold it, and the ladder apears. It may be for a while. I you can climb the ladder. I think you got my mind. So how about that?

I dont think its possible to spawn ladders if thats what you mean
I tried a while ago and epicly failed

There is one way, but its too complicated. So i would say impossible..

Can you tell more about your idea because it would be one of the most difficult plugins to create but also one of the best. Besides this their is high demand for it because this request is not just a single request but there are many more requests maded for a ladder plugin.

I'v created ladders on my server by placing ten 16 'pixel' high blocks on each other but everytime just 1 'pixel' further so you can walk very fast to the top box and the walk distance is only 10 'pixels'. Only the sound is missing and it goes i little to fast but it is for sure better as no ladder.

Well the ladder will not be even close to the half-life ladder.

I don´t know anything about scripting (yet), but I have a different idea, lets say, all walls are climable (ladders just have a different speed) is that possible?

i saw it on a server ther were ladders which they spawned with a plugin but u could only climb the ladder up and not down...


but couldn't just a func_ladder be spawned?

Maybe for your information , func_ladder is invisible and the ladders you can see ingame are walls .
