yes since last update L4d1 plugin has stopped working.
everything was good before that.

I've just tried the plugin on my L4D1 Windows server with PatchVersion 1.0.4.3, and it's running smoothly without any issues. It seems like it might be a Linux-specific problem, maybe related to a signature conflict with the gamedata file perhaps, IDK. Only Dragokas would be able to shed light on this matter.

Has anyone tested on Linux? These don't work on my server

MeZZoO, I tested. In your case plugin is compiled for sm 1.12, when your server seems older. You need to compile it yourself for the version of server you currently use or upgrade your server.
Here are options:
1) online: https://spider.limetech.io/ https://www.sourcemod.net/compiler.php (make sure compiler output produce version close to your server version, e.g. 1.10, 1.11, 1.12)
2) offline: Stable (1.11 atm), Latest (1.12 atm), outdated: 1.10, 1.9, 1.8, 1.7
I think this plugin has minimum requirement: v1.10.

Unzip the new file and copy all the files to their respective ‘l4d’ folders, or just auto-extract them if you know how to do that procedure.

The path for the l4d folder is as follows:

\left 4 dead\left4dead\addons\sourcemod\scripting

Copy your script file called “l4d_useful_upgrades.sp” to that folder.

Next, drag and drop the script onto the “spcomp.exe” file (that file is the compiler for your version of SM). This will compile your file to become “l4d_useful_upgrades.smx”. After that, just move the smx file to your plugins folder. And that’s it. You’re ready to go. EDIT: There is also help here, if you care to read it:
