do you mean your boot.ini?
if so it should just be a matter of editing it

[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\W INDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=" Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

thats mine for XP, if you need the Vista CD, then Vista's must be different, so what does it look like?
