Oh. I didn't see your response until now. I use sm_cvar tf_forced_holiday 6 in my server.cfg.

Also I second FlaminSarge's request. The holiday healthkits are annoying IMO.

Hmm, that's weird. I tried it that way too and it still wouldn't implement. I checked to see if it was being overridden in any other configs but it's not.

The healthkit model is changed when the holiday mode is set, even when midround =/

I remember someone discussing issues where this plugin doesn't take hold on MvM maps. I still can't get birthday/winter mode to work, but if I set the CVAR for tf_forced_holiday to 6 in server.cfg, I can use Halloween-related things.

tf_forced_holiday can be used to force Birthday (2) and Christmas (3, I think) as well. However, you can only force one holiday at a time with it. I've asked Valve to change this to use flags (and make this plugin obsolete in doing so), but they haven't.*

Until someone figures out where Valve's other checks for holidays are happening in the server binary, SourceMod's support for holidays is going to continue having issues like this.

As a nasty hack, I could make it change tf_forced_holiday to TFHoliday_FullMoon whenever Halloween or Full Moon is selected, but that wouldn't fix the Birthday and Christmas issue you're having.

* By flags, I mean Valve should update it to work something like this:
halloween 1
birthday 2
full moon 4
christmas 8
valentines 16

Add together for the value you'd need to use.... so tf_forced_holiday 13 would be full moon + christmas + birthday. Also, note the removal of Meet the Pyro, since it doesn't actually correspond to a Holiday. Valentines is intentionally stuck at the end, since nothing currently uses it, so it could be removed if not needed.

Honestly, though, it'd be better if we had separate force cvars for separate holidays. Which is what this plugin does so you can disable them with -1.

If you want the winter noisemaker available but don't want the gift boxes popping up, you can set mp_holiday_nogifts 1. Just a bit of trivia.

Interesting glitch I found. If you are wearing a custom model via model manager and you have the Halloween holiday on, having too many people do the "thriller" taunt will crash your server. For the longest time I tried to figure out why my server was crashing so much. So I went vanilla and slowly added plugins. All that was left was forced holidays, I turned it on again and once more the server continued to crash, turned it off and the crashing went away. So I fiddled with the cvars and left only full moon on, so far I have yet to get a crash.

Just thought I would throw that out there, sadly the crashes were so harsh that SM couldn't log any errors.
