hmm. using equipment manager to add a whole suit of armor/model, and then remove the original player model. That sounds very very interesting...

This is most likely it. I've done it by parenting a prop_dynamic to the player and forcing their view to thirdperson.

Yeah that's pretty much the idea, it's hard to get it right though.

Also in response to this thread in general, I will release the plugin eventually once I've built up a decent playerbase on my servers

lol personaly i have my straingt in tf2 surf and am happy with half of the players you prob have with this so lol

anyone making somthing like this. because dark doesn't release the plugin to every one. we even offerd 30 euro's a mouth and he still refused

I'd be happy to contribute to a project that did prophunt in a better and more open source way. Like TF2 Scoutzknivez, even if this is ever released, it might never work.

i currently am working on my version of prophunt, still a bit bugged, but already playable.
i'm not sure i'll release it here in the near future, because i put a lot of effort into it and its such a crowd pleaser. but maybe you have some solid reasons for me to do so.
current differences from darkimmortal's one:
- hunters can blast themselfs with the flamethrower in the air.
- cp's don't heal anyone
- waiting music + humiliation-animation during hiding-phase
- each props is one of 77 props currently available (props doesnt have to fit in the context of the map)
- there's a totally random scramble at the end of every round
