Actually there is a reason.

The current version of SourceBans does not intercept bans done by the "BanClient" native in SourceMod.

Therefore, if a plugin uses BanClient instead of ServerCommand("sm_ban... SourceBans will not catch it.

KAC detects if SB is present and if it is uses sm_ban rather than the native BanClient.

I have a question (sorry if already been asked). If a server runs in LAN mode (sv_lan 1), does KAC work as it should?
If KAC bans a user on a LAN sever (always permanently, as I understand) does it use banip (write info to banned_ip.cfg)?

KAC does not support Non-Steam servers.

Kigen wrote, that KAC should work on LAN servers and... it does! And it works nice. Today a cheater was banned by ip and an appropriate entry appeared in banned_ip.cfg
