@keygen: is there already a new version of the 1.1.4 beta?

Yeah. There is a new version in the works. I'm trying to fix the issues with crashing that seem to be related to my use of Sockets.

Well, I'm finally figuring out the issue. It appears that sometimes the error callbacks are not executed by SourceMod even though they should be. Sockets is showing in the debug logs that it queues up for the error callback, but the error callback is never executed so my script continues to use the Socket because it was never told to stop.

and yes, I played safely with WH, Radar hack, Anti flash, Anti smoke, aimbot and other removals. Sadly I wasn't banned and with some caution I played like an high skilled player and noone complained about me cheating.
I felt VERY sad.

It seems like bypassing time has come.

If you need more details or whatever that can help you in development, PM me.

A positive note: css.setti.info installed KAC and some cheaters were banned. This is a good server for tests because there are pro players and pro cheaters. Getting in touch with the setti staff could be productive.

Again, for more details PM.

KAC is running fine and it bans people.
The steam ban is not so effective on nonsteam server but that's another problem.
The key point is cheat detection.

Tell me in what sense nonsteam server aren't supported.

In the sense that it bans by STEAM ID. In the sense that SourceMod is made only for steam servers.

Got it? Non-steam servers are illegal.

Non-steam is not supported by me. And to be honest, on the technical side of things it is bad. Mainly because I cannot hold a individual player accountable. Most home internet connections in the world use dynamic IP allocation. In addition to the fact that the people using "non-steam" are using cracked versions.

While KAC as it is currently works with "non-steam" future versions will not. Yes, I am aware of two "non-steam" servers using KAC as it is, but this is about the end of the road.

I wasn't aware it even could work with non-steam as it bans by ID. Nonsteam is supposed to be IP.

There are workarounds for the unique account id but that's not the place for talking about it.
That's not a big issue in my opinion...
If you change IP and you cheat, you get banned every time.
If you have static IP, you're out.
If you have dynamic IP, admins can decide to ban the whole range or let you in and get banned every time you cheat.

Think about it because non-steam servers tends to be the choice of cheaters (you know, buying a new steam id each time is annoying) and they are a perfect testing environment (newer cheats appears first on non-steam servers).
So non-steam servers BADLY need a good anticheating system.

For what concerns me, I own a steam-id and I play on both steam and non-steam servers.

Just my two cents.
