I want to balance the number of horde with the amount of health the common infected have

How can i do this?

z_health doesnt do anything

heres the cvars i got so far for horde size

sm_cvar z_mob_population_density 25
sm_cvar z_mega_mob_size 50
sm_cvar z_mob_spawn_max_size 75

I figure either decrease horde and up the health of the commons or
increase horde and decrease health of the commons

that density is a bit rediculous.. your telling the game to spawn over 15k MOBS per nav area. which means - over 1.1million infected.

and z_health DOES work.. a common with 1000 health just took me 4 axe hacks to kill.

nvmind worked it out myself.

The critical shot mod stops z_health making much difference but i set on 5 so i can have higher quantity of zombies without it being to difficult.

and no i only get 25 zombies in one area

50 zombies on a mega horde

and no more than 75 at any one time no idear were your getting 1 million from?

do the math with your other cvar settings - your telling the game to spawn up to 1million zombies in a nav area..
25/0.0064 * 4 *75

that means they aint gonna spread out - theres going to be just 1 clump of zombies coming at the survivors.

Thats nice never had any problems with it, were you getting this random information from?, im not a GCSE A Class student, with a degree in computer programming
