HLDS erros on Centos 6

After installing using the HLDS hldsupdatetool using Centos i386 and I get this error when trying to connect a server.

I tried to run to see if metamod solved and still continues.

1) you don't want to run your server as root, don't you?
2) does it also happen if you start the server without metamod?
