About first error, it's because you miss a path reference in your project config.
Probably something like : $(HLSDK)/public

EDIT, ah linux, well, should be the same I guess ;

EDIT3: Well, are you sure your paths point directly to files ? Mine are generally like :

HLSDK = ../hlsdk/multiplayer
MM_ROOT = ../metamod/metamod
