map chooser does work on my TF2 server and we get a vote 3 minutes (defined in config) before the current map ends however for some reason it doesn't bring up a vote on every map.

I can't see why this happens.
Sometimes we get a vote and sometimes the next map in the map cycle is loaded.

Looking forward to the new system that we've been promised is being developed.
