Um...6000 years ago really isn't much of an argument. I dont see how you are even attempting to make this a logical point. Nobody 6k years ago would believe anything we tell them sans evidence. Explaining it to anyone 300+ years ago would be like explaining macroeconomics to a rock. Without evidence and fossils to back things up then its pointless to even attempt.

And this simple reason, my friend, is just one of many reasons as to why I am an agnostic and don't believe in Christianity. There are too many contradictions in verse, and in the way things are interpreted. Either you take things literally or you take them metaphorically. You cant have both in the same work.
The Bible is a book that can teach some good moral values to people. Otherwise, its just a book of stories.
