Old 06-22-2016 , 20:34   [TF2] tf_mm_servermode change that's breaking servers
Reply With Quote #1

Just a heads up to everyone who runs a TF2 server.

Valve changed the tf_mm_servermode cvar this update. It is no longer an integer, but instead a boolean.

If you set it to 1, you're opting in to the TF2 MvM Boot Camp pool.

Having this setting set to anything but 0 will currently cause strange behavior on non-MvM server, such as the game repeatedly triggering round start.

From Valve's John Schoenick:

tf_mm_servermode is now a bool (0 or not-0), and simply enrolls your
server in bootcamp. Servers that have this set to 2 will thus continue
to work right, but those who had the old 1 value for the quickplay-beta
are likely now being accidentally opted in to bootcamp.
