I don't know why those services stop working correctly, they are using the protocol incorrectly. If you turn on ss_oob_show 1 it will show you what they're doing wrong and you can report that to me....

I just checked gmod and TF2 with the latest binary and it works correctly. Make sure you're using r140 off the SVN (the latest version) and turn on ss_filecheck_show 1.
