Yes, FTW.
Gets user's FPS. ( Not server )

Value is mostly exact value.

There's plugins that have been doing this for a very long time...

It's not even a good way of doing it, either.

Sure, make an executable that measures it on the client's side and then transmits it to the server.

I've needed it before simply to make a display for the user of what their FPS is. But I wrote that plugin almost 2 years ago yet there's been no need for anything like that since.

I don't see any point in this either. It's extremely inaccurate. In fact, it's actually based more on the server's FPS than the client's and it's only accurate when both the client and server are very fast.

I didn't say there is anything better, just this isn't really good in the first place. He didn't seem to mention at all what's wrong with it or even clarify that it's a far from perfect method. If you happen to need it, good for you, because you're probably one of the select few who actually needed it but also couldn't make it themselves.
