HLDS events to txt
 

I have red somwhere about "hlds_l .... | tee"
I dont know but i think that HLDS can output everything that happens in the server to a .txt file or maybe even mySQL?

I would like to find out more about this can someone give me links so i can learn?

I have a few question about this.
I understand that gameME and HLstatsX uses this right or wrong?

I would like to know more about what events and actions can be outputed/writen to .txt or mySQL.

Where do i start to learn this?

You can enable server logs if you want events to be logged (this is how most stats addons get most of their info; they sometimes also have an extra plugin that adds more info). To enable HLDS logging, put "log on" in your server.cfg.

If you want more info in the logs you can set the value of mp_logdetail.

You can search this for an idea of what things might be available. Otherwise, if you know that a certain stats addon has the information you need, look at the setup procedures for that, it will tell you how to set up your server to generate proper logs for its functionality.
